Macbeth's Insecurities

1. Describe places, people, or events that make you feel insecure or uncertain. How do you tend to act when you’re feeling insecure?

2. Macbeth is also plagued by his insecurities. Why do you think he is haunted by the ghost of Banquo, but NOT by the ghost of Duncan? Think of at least two reasons.

3. Before deciding to murder both Duncan and Banquo, Macbeth delivers two long monologues. Reread the last few lines of each monologue (51, 87).

Why do you think Macbeth is so concerned with whether or not they will go to heaven or hell?

1) Some things that make me feel insecure are when I my parents introduce me to some of there friends and I have know idea who they are or what they are going to do for me. So I meet them and never talk to them again in my life most likely. When this happens i usually don't talk as much and try to seem polite because i don't really know what to say.
2) I think he is haunted my Banquo because he didn't have a good reason to kill him and he had atleast a somewhat good reason to kill the king. Also because they were pretty good friends and he betrayed him which has got to hurt your conscience. Also, Fleance is still out there and will most likely come and seek revenge of Macbeth which makes him worrie.
3) I think he is concerned because he wants them to go to heaven and to have a good life because he knows that neither of them deserve to be murdered so he wants to make sure he did not cause anything that will make them go to hell and have a bad after life.

Places, people, and events that make me feel uncomfortable are basically places, people, and events that are unknown to me. I act pretty timid and shy in those situations, or I put on a nothings-wrong face.
Macbeth is haunted only by Banquo because he betrayed his best friend, with out much hesitation. Also, he was on his own in Banquo's muder planning, without any help from Lady Macbeth, so he is the grand schemmer.

Macbeth is so concerned with whether or not they go to heaven or hell because he thinks that if they go to Heaven that he hepled them get there as early as possible. If they do go to Heaven then he thinks he will go there too because he hepled them out in getting there. If they go to Hell, he fears he might be damned also.

1. When I first meet new people I get very insecure. Also, when I get around adults who are not family and I don't know very well I get somewhat nervous. When I'm insecure I tend to say very stupid things. I also tend to veer away from the group and maybe be alittle quieter.
2.Macbeth is haunted by Banqou and not Duncan because the only reason he had Banquo killed was because he heard the prophecy. He never did anything specifically to hurt Macbeth. Also, Fleance is still out there with the slight possibility that he could figure out Macbeth murdered both Duncan and Banquo.
3.Macbeth is concerned about whether they go to heaven or hell because they were both good men who did nothing worthy of murder. Also, these murders were all about greed on Macbeth's part. So, he wants them to go to heaven therfore, his sins are resolved.

I always feel insecure when I do something that I don't noramlly do or others talk about stuff I couldn't dream of doing. Today, I had to go to a variaty of meetings throught the school at various times. It took me 20 minuets just to go in the social studies office. Whenever this occurs, my brain just doesn't do anything, just pace or stand there. And, when someone talks about something I'm not allowed to do or haven't done, I always duck and cover behind my intelegence.
I think Banquo, not Duncan, haunts Macbeth because he turned on his best friend. Plus, other than the possibility of revealing his suspicions of Macbeth, he does not have a logical explanation of his actions. I also think that, since Macbeth obtained "a fruitless crown", he wanted Banquo to have the same.

1. I feel insecure and uncertain around anything new, whether it is a new place or new people that I am meeting. I was especially insecure my first few days at high school because it was a new place with all new people. I tend to act timid and shy. I don't want to make myself stand out, I like to blend in.

2. I think that Macbeth is haunted by the ghost of Banquo and not the ghost of Duncan for many reasons. First of all, Banquo was Macbeth's best friend. Duncan was not a good friend of his. Also, killing Duncan was Lady Macbeth's idea, not his own. She persuaded her husband to kill him. When Macbeth feels guilty about killing Duncan, he can pass off the blame to his wife and tell himself in his head that she made him. That would lift some of the guilt off of his chest. With Banquo, it was Macbeth's idea to kill him. Lady Macbeth told him no to kill any more people, but he did not listen. He has noone to pass off the blame to this time.

3. I think that by being concerned as to whether Banquo and Duncan are going to heaven or hell, it makes Macbeth feel a little better about himself. It makes him feel that he is a concerned person, and not just someone who murders his friends. He is willing to do anything to take some guilt away. It would also make him feel better to know that these two good men went to heaven, because he knows in his heart that they don't deserve to be killed.

1)I feel the most insecure when I am not in a comfortable position. If I am in a new place and don't know anyone or at least anyone my age things are kind of awkward. I am normally much quieter around people I don't really know because we have nothing to talk about.
2)I think Macbeth feels more guilty about killing Banwuo than he did when he killed Duncan. Duncan trusted Macbeth, but their relationship was nothing like that of Macbeth and Banquo's. Macbeth really had no reason to kill Banquo and their relationship didn't make it any easier. I also think that since Fleance escaped Macbeth thinks he has a greater chance of getting caught.
3)I think Mavbeth is so concerned about whether they go to hell or heaven because he doesn't want them to spend eternity in hell, but I also think that Macbeth might feel better about killing them if he knew they were going to heaven and spending eternity there.

1) Places, people, or events that make me feel insecure mostly include something that i have not done or seen before. An example are some of my grandparents friends; my grandparents introduce me and I have no idea how I should act for that certain person.

2) I think the reason he was haunted by the ghost of Banqou and not Duncan was because he knew that killing Banqou was wrong. Another reason is because he had no really good reason to kill Banqou.

3) I think that he is worried that they might not go to heaven, even though they should. He knows that both Duncan and Banqou did nothing wrong to be murdered. Therefore, if he did something to them to make them go to hell, he would feel even more guilty than he already does.

I always feel insecure when I am being pressured or when I meet new people. I am also insecure when I have to stand up infront of a big group and do something because I am a very shy person.

I think Macbeth is haunted by Banquo but not Duncan because Banquo was his friend and he was too cowardly to do it himself.

He is concerned because he doesn't know if they will go to hell because of the things he did to them. He knows none of them deserved to be murdered and he wants them to have a good afterlife, not a bad one because of him.

1. Places that make me feel insecure are places where there are alot of people that I dont really know. The way I act when Im in a situation like that is i sort of become withdrawn, shy and quiet. I cant really help it.
2.One reason he is haunted by Banqou could be that he was his best friend and he had him killed. Another could be that Banqou was the only other person who knew of the witches prophecy and had witnessed it.
2.Uhm yaa i sort of left my book at home but I remeber the monologues well enough.
I think Macbeth was worried about whether they would go to heaven or hell because he was afriad to meet them wherever he went. Though he is obviously going to hell for murder he might think hes going to heaven and he will have to see Banqou and Duncan there. Mabye.

1) I feel insecure or uncertain when I am in an unfamiliar surrounding. Things are unknown to me and I don’t know what is going on. I can also feel insecure if something is said about me that is not positive. For example if someone says I can’t do something or makes a comment that bothers me I then feel insecure.
2) I think Macbeth is haunted by Banquo because it was not necessary for Banquo to die. Banquo was never going to be king his sons were so why did Banquo have to die. Also Banquo was Macbeth’s best friend and very close to him, Macbeth was not that close with King Duncan. Finally Macbeth saw Duncan’s murder so he knows the horror of it. He did not see Banquo so this is the way of showing Macbeth the gore he caused.
3) I think Macbeth is so concerned with whether Duncan or Banquo go to heaven or hell because he knows he is killing them for his pleasure and greed. I think since he knows they die unfairly and for no reason that he hopes they go to heaven because they were killed so horribly on earth. That way he knows they will be happy forever.

1)I am super insecure when it comes to going up to a group of kids and I'm alone. I usually have to ask them something and I notice I act much more confident and brighter when my friends are around.

2)He is definitely haunted by Banquo because he knows it was his own fault. Lady Macbeth didn't want him to kill anyone else. After killing Duncan, he still felt insecure about his own position because of Banquo. He also worries for his own safety because he killed two people already and Fleance escaped. He could be found out. It might not be a matter of fear but of doubt of his own prophecy and kingship.

3)He is concerned about it because he knows how tormenting it is to have the nightmarish thoughts he does and to think that he sent his best friend and king through the hell of his own personal torment is hard for him to accept. Also, he knows that he is already too far too deep in evil. It gives him the wish that his friends don't have to go through with it as well. He already felt remorse about Duncan. Then to kill his best friend is just worse. He just wants to try and hopefully remedy the situation by wishing he was in hell and they were in heaven.

1. Places, people, and events that are unknown to me make me feel insecure. When I am in these situations I am reserved and more likely to try and go unnoticed.
2. Banquo's ghost haunts Macbeth because Macbeth betrayed his best friend and he didn't immediately regret his actions. With Duncan's murder Macbeth felt remorse as soon as the act was done. The ghost visits Macbeth to guilt him into remorse and show how Macbeth has changed since the first murder.
3. Macbeth is concerned with whether or not they end up in heaven or hell because he wants partial clearance of his concience. If they end up in heaven, Duncan and Banquo won't be in as much pain and not as injusticed. Therefore Macbeth will be more at peace. In hell they will be eternally vengeful. When Macbeth joins them in hell, as he accepts he will, they will torture him more than anything else could.

2) I think he is being haunted by Banquo because he was his right hand man. The only reason he killed him was so that he may not produce another hier after Fleance was dead. Plus there is a witness to the murder this time so Macbeth knows somthing has to be coming his way.
3)I think he is concerned because it would make him feel so much better inside if he knew he did sort of a good thing by sending them to a better place rather than sending them to hell.

Some things that make me feel insecure are when I'm with people I don't know. If I know someone I'm better, but if I don't know anyone then I feel nervous and I think it's awkward because you don't always know how to act.

I think he is haunted by Banquo's ghost because of guilt the killings. Banquo was Macbeth's best friend, and he murdered him. That's not a very good friendship...Duncan, who Macbeth liked and thought was nice and stuff, wasn't a personal friend so his murder didn't have as much effect on him as Banquo's does. Also, Macbeth doesn't kill Banquo. He basically hires some murderers to kill Banquo for Macbeth. Macbeth seems to scared to face the killing by himself, so Banquo is back to haunt him, to let him know what has happened. With Duncan, Macbeth did it, so he felt guilty, but not by as much because he got away with it, for now.

I think Macbeth is so concerned with whether they will go to heaven or hell because it will affect him and how he feels. He might feel like a better person if they go to heaven, because they didn't deserve to be murdered, so it'd be better for Macbeth (he pretty greedy and self-centered, I think).

1. I feel uncertain Downtown because it's kind of a different world down there and it puts me in an uncomfortable position. When I'm hanging out at parties with my group of friends there's the people you never really talk to you who sit there and whisper to each other or keep staring at you. Also sometimes when you feel out of place you tend to put a mask on and be shy as a solution to what you feel at the moment.
2. One reason I think Macbeth is haunted by only Banquo is because he killed Banquo for no reason. Banquo was his best friend and he killed him because greed got in the way and Macbeth didn't actually see it happen so maybe Macbeth was wondering how Banquo was murdered and what he had looked like. He saw how Duncan looked because he murdered him and Duncan wasn't close to him. Secondly, I think that Banquo appeared because Banquo knows that Macbeth is going to murder his son so Banquo is going to keep haunting him so that Macbeth goes crazy, confesses what he has done, and doesn't murder his son.
3. I think Macbeth is concerned whether or not they go to heaven or hell for his own sake and not theirs. He wants them to go to heaven as a way to repentance his own sins and the murders he did. He's also wondering if he'll go to heaven or hell now for what he's done and he feels that if they go to heaven maybe he knows he shouldn't because of what he's done and he wants to be forgiven.

1. Events that make me feel insecure are ones where I am by myself without my friends or family and there is no one there I know very well. In these situations I tend to get quiet and reserved.
2. I think he is haunted by the ghost of Banquo an not Duncan because he say Duncan die and he didn't see Banquo die so he might be unsure of Banquo's death. Another idea is that Banquo was Macbeth's friend and person he used to reside in. The reasaon the ghost appears is because Macbeth still wishes for this counsel. Now that Banquo is gone he has almost no one to reside or seek help from. He is insecure without his good friend by his side.
3. He is concerned with this because I believe since they were Macbeth's friends that he wanted them to go to heaven. He wanted them to have the better of the two. If it weren't for his ambition he wouldn't have murdered them at all.

1) I tend to get insecure around people I have just met or places that I have only been to once or twice. I also tend to get insecure when I go to events where I know no one. Personally, when I get insecure, I’m inclined to become shy and don’t communicate very well.
2) I think that Macbeth is haunted by the ghost of Banquo but not Duncan because Banquo was one of his close friends. Not only that, but because he has now killed two people his conscience is weighing down on his even more so now.
3) Maybe Macbeth has some guilt and sorrow for murdering these two innocent lives so by stating that hopefully they will go to heaven is like repentance.

2)He is haunted by Banquo's ghost because he didn't kill Banquo, and he wonders if he is really dead. Banquo's son Fleance is still alive and may come back to kill Macbeth because he is suppose to become king.

3)He knows they didn't deserve to die and he is reponsible for their deaths so he fells guilty.

Sorry if this is to long, I just had a lot to write:

1. I feel insecure when I'm meeting new people, or when I'm in a place where I don't know anybody (or very few people). In early August, my dad insisted that we all went to his family reunion in the middle of nowhere (I won't post where). I felt so insecure, and uncomfortable there because I only knew like 4 people, and I had no idea who the heck any of the other 200 people were, or how in the world they were related to me. I don't like to be alone unless I choose to, but I felt so uncomfortable, and like I didn't belong there, so I tried to keep to myself and not do anything that would make people notice me. Also, during the first week of high school, I felt so embarrased, uncomfortable and unsure whether I should be attending AHS, because I know A LOT of people that were going to Heritage and I knew almost nobody here. I was seriously considering transferring to Heritage because all these people from Powell, Euclid, Newton, and Goddard knew each other and had already estabished clicks. I was so freaked out and scared. When I was feeling insecure during that time, I tried to make myself invisible, and I tried not to draw any attention to myself, and I wished that I didn't have to say anything to anyone. But places don't really make me feel insecure; it's the people in a new place that make me feel uneasy (but I have to be alone without any of my friends for me to feel uneasy).
2. I think Macbeth is haunted by Banquo's ghost because Banquo had more of an impression and personal impact on Macbeth's life. He was also Macbeth's best friend (I think). Yeah, Duncan was the king, but Duncan never really had a close relationship with Macbeth as Banquo did. Also, I think since Banquo heard the prophecy, and since Macbeth ignored Banquo's better judgement, and that Macbeth totally betrayed Banquo by killing him and trying to kill his son, Macbeth feels really guilty. He doesn't feel comfortable with the fact that he was the one who actually thought up the deed, and made it possible. Also, both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth saw Duncan as just an obstacle in the way of Macbeth coming king, so since they were so focused on making Macbeth king, the guilt of Duncan's death wasn't as heavy. When Macbeth is already king, he probably realizes that there was no particular or significant reason to kill Banquo, and the guilt is embedded in him, and he probably regrets it.
3. I think Macbeth is so concerned because he knows that neither of them deserve to go to hell. He knows that they didn't do anything that would cause them not to go to heaven. I actually think that he was trying to make it seem like everything was his fault (which it kind of is), and that neither Duncan nor Banquo should go to hell. I think he was trying to clarify and convince himself that they had good lives and that they deserve to go to heaven, and definately not hell, so he's putting the blame on himself to make him feel better.

I tend to act insecure when I am a very small minority in another country especially when a lot of people stare at me because I look so different to them. I am insecure around people who I have to impress, for example judges at a competiton I am in, and around people I have just met. Sometimes when I am around adults I am more insecure because I am around kids more often.
2. I think that Macbeth is haunted by the ghost of Banquo but not the ghost of Duncan because Banquo was a very good friend of Macbeth and so he probably had more loyalties to Banquo than to Duncan. Also, since the Wierd Sisters predicted that Banqqou's heirs would be king and everything else they have predicted has come true, it was really important to Macbeteh that Fleance was killed and not as important to him that Malcolm and Donalbain were killed because Malcolm and Donalbain were never mentioned in the prophecies. Since Fleance escaped Macbeth is haunted by the knowledge that his competitor for the throne is still alive. Also Macbeth went aginst the propecies by trying to kill Fleance and by killing Banqou instead of fufilling them when he killed Duncan. Deep down he probably knows he is going against fate since the propecies have remained true so far so he is haunted becuase he knows he is going against fate and will lose.
3. I think that Macbeth is so concerned about whether or not Banquo and Duncan will go to heaven or hell becuase he feels that by murdering them he is sending them to hell and he doesn't want to be responsible for that. Although he wants to kill them, he doesn't think that they deserve going to hell so he hopes that they will go to heaven but has a gut feeling that they will not becuase of the way they died. He probably thinks that if they go to heaven he wil make it there also becuase he will be removed of his crime.

1. I am always uncertain around people that I don't know or don't know well. No matter if they are and adult, young child, or somebody my own age, if I don't know them very well I don't know what to say or not to say so there is just an awkward silence. I also don't really like it when one of my parent's friends starts talking to me about something that I know nothing about. I try to be polite and keep the conversation moving, but when I have no idea what I'm talking about, that can be a little difficult.
2. I believe that he is haunted by Banquo because he killed him for an incredibly stupid and selfish reason. Killing Duncan to get the crown was also stupid and selfish, but Lady Macbeth had a lot of persuasion over him in that murder. Banquo's death was entirely Macbeth’s doing and he is feeling a lot of remorse without realizing it. You can't send a hired hand to murder your best friend and not feel guilt.
3. He understands that neither of these people deserved to die when they did and he is hoping that they do not suffer in the after life like he knows that he will because of their murders.

1)People who I feel insecure and uncomfortable around are usually those whom I was once close friends with, but sort of “lost touch with” over the years. I believe this is probably because the usual trite, routine conversation (e.g. How are you? How’s your day? How’s school?) seems bland and superficial after having shared deep secrets and dreams with one another long ago. In these situations I usually end up answering with the mechanical answers (e.g. fine, good, okay) but later regret not answering them completely honestly (e.g. today has been miserable). I usually feel insecure in places and at events where I am not acquainted with anyone, but everyone else seems to know one another. In these situations I usually tend to act as invisible and insignificant as I feel. Finally, I feel uncertain in situations in which someone is spouting opinions (which I usually do not share) and presenting these opinions as fact. This makes me feel uncomfortable because I often do not know how to confront them without offending. In these situations I usually do not take action because of my fear of offending.

2)I think that Macbeth is probably haunted by the ghost of Banquo because Banquo was his loyal friend and companion. The two had fought together, side by side, and were once great friends. The fact that Macbeth would betray Banquo’s trust and friendship has affected him much more than his betrayal of Duncan, who was a generous and kind king, but not a particular friend of Macbeth. Also, I think he feels cowardly because others carried out the murderer for him, and because he murdered out of fear and not ambition. Also, Banquo’s ghostly figure haunts Macbeth because Fleance survived and escaped the attack and therefore could reveal Macbeth to be the murderous traitor he is (depending on what Banquo has told Fleance of the “weird sisters” and his suspicions of Macbeth). This brews yet more fear in Macbeth, causing him to hallucinate.

3)Macbeth is extremely concerned with whether they go to heaven or hell in the afterlife because he will fell less guilty if he knows he simply “sped up” their journey to heaven. Also, he knows that they were both good men who deserved to go to heaven, and hopes his actions and his correspondence with them does not prevent this. However, he also fears that if they go to heaven, he will surely be condemned to hell for murdering two righteous men.

The most significant situations that make me feel insecure are places that I am not familiar with. When introduced at a party or a function where I don't know very many people I tend to stay in my shell. It does not take long for me to get comfortable and start talking, but even then I hold back and only talk enough to let people know I am not rude.

Macbeth is haunted by Banquo and only Banquo because that is whom he is feeling the most guilt towards. Banquo was much closer to him than Duncan was because Banquo was his best friend. I think Macbeth realizes that Banquo was not a necessary victim and killing him was not needed. If Banquo had had any heirs he could have killed them and not taken the life of his best friend.

Macbeth wants to ensure they go to Heaven. He feels that if they do, it was him that got them there and he is doing them a favor. If they go to hell it was his fault and that is what he is destined for as well.

1. I feel most insecure when I am in an unfamiliar place with no one but unfamiliar people. For example, when I got my job this summer at Franklin Pool, I didn't really know any of my coworkers. Usually, when I feel insecure, I tend to close up inside myself and ignore everyone around me. That is definitely my more introverted side. Lately, however, I have been getting better with people so slowly but surely I am beginning to feel more at home and comfortable with people I don't know. When there are so many people on this Earth, it is impossible to know all of them. Instead of closing up, I need to let those people in and lead a happier life. The best way to deal with insecurity, I think is to cover it up and act confident and sure of yourself, even if you really aren't, and eventually you will really feel that way.
2. Duncan and Macbeth were never quite as close friendship-wise as Banquo and Macbeth. Macbeth had fought alongside Banquo in war as equals and comrades; Duncan was just Macbeth's distant cousin. Macbeth's conscience is eating away at him and causing the illusions of Banquo's ghost because Macbeth secretly despises himself for ordering the murder of his best and most loyal friend.
3. When Macbeth mentions the two men in the after life, he is really wondering about his own future. He knows the deeds he is committing for power are immoral and the only future for him after life is an eternity in Hell. He wonders about the after life awaiting these two noble men and compares it to his own in fear. Because of his tragic flaw, ambition, he is powerless to fight is only enemy: himself. This will bring his downfall.

In a new environment like a new school or a new neighborhood and in location where I don’t know anyone I tend to feel uncertain and insecure. I also keep quite and to myself when I feel this way.
In my opinion, Macbeth only sees Banquo’s ghost but not Duncan’s ghost is because Macbeth started to feel guilty before he killed Duncan and he did not with Banquo. Another reason this may be is because Banquo was Macbeth’s best friend.
I think Macbeth is concerned with heaven or hell because so far Macbeth has lead a good life and killing them would possibly make him go to hell which means he wouldn’t have a good after life.

1. I often feel insecure when I am walking alone in the hall or in a place where I do not know many people. When I am feeling insecure I tend to get very self conscious and do nasty habits like cracking my knuckles or running my hand through my hair.
2. I feel that Macbeth is haunted by the ghost of Banquo and not Duncan because Banquo was more his friend and his death was not all together necessary to fulfill the plan Macbeth has. I also feel that he was more haunted by Banquo because his son is still on the run and he knows all about the murder and could bring Macbeth down, and because of this Macbeth is haunted by Banquo as a reminder of his son still being on the run.
3. I believe Macbeth is concerned about whether they go to heaven of hell because he believes that they deserve to be in heaven because he murdered them and starved them of the live that they could have had, and if they went to heaven they could continue this great life but if they went to hell they would live even worse and this would make Macbeth feel even worse, considering he starved them of the great life they would have had left.

1. I feel insecure when i'm doing something I don't normally or i'm in an unfamiliar place. I think things like this make people feel insecure because they are out of their comfort zone.
2. I think he is haunted by Banquo because he didn't really have a good reason for killing him. He killed Duncan for a reason, so he could become king. Also banquo and Macbeth were friends, he betrayed his friend. That probably makes him feel guilty so he is haunted.
3. I think he is worried about going to heaven or hell because they are innocent people who didn't do anything to deserve murder. He might think if they go to heaven it doesn't make the murder as bad, but if they go to hell it will make him feel worse.

1. I feel really insecure when I'm in situations where I don't know anyone, and I have to introduce myself to people. I get akward and uncomfortable. I don't really know how to act or what to say. I also feel insecure when I'm seeing old friends or relatives that I haven't talked to in a long time. It's really akward trying to think of what to say, especially when I used to know them really well.
2. I think Macbeth is haunted by Banquo and not Duncan becuase Macbeth was much closer to Banquo. They were friends, and Banquo always offered support to Macbeth. Another reason could be that Fleance got away. Macbeth ordered Banquo to be killed simply for his own gain and so he could produce no more heirs. However, since Fleance escaped, he's sill a very real threat to Macbeth's throne. Macbeth may have been feeling that Banquo's death was in vain, which is why his ghost appeared, to remind him of this fact.
3. I think Macbeth is concered with whether Duncan and Banquo will go to heaven or hell is because he is worried they might not go to heaven, even though he knows they were both good men who deserved to go there. If they go to heaven, he could think that their murders were justified, since they're spending eternity there. He also is preoccupied with where they will go in the afterlife because he knows if they go to heaven, he is probably condemed to hell for murdering two innocent men.

3)I'm not really sure as to why Macbeth is so concerned, but my guess is that Macbeth felt guilty about murdering them so he hoped they would go to heaven.

It also could be that he felt guilty before murdering Duncan, but no guilt before murdering Banquo and then it caught up with him. Personal, my best friend would be more affecting to me than a ruler. Not like I would EVER result to that.
3) Macbeth is very concerned by his values and is worried what is going to happen to him. He wants to be able to live his life without guilt and the constant reminder of what he did.

1)Mostly the places where I feel insecure, are when i'm some place where I don't really know anyone, and I know that I have to make a good impression with the people, and I don't want to do something wrong, or mess up around them, because I know that i'll be around them for a while after that.
2)I believe that he was haunted by the ghost of Banquo not Duncan. Is because, before Macbeth killed Duncan, his concious was bothering him. Where as when he killed Banquo he had no second thoughts about killing him, and so the ghost, kind of acting as his concious. Also Banquo was Macbeth's best friend, and befoe he killed him, he just tried to act like he hated him, but he really had no reson to kill Banquo. So the ghost might have come back to remind him of that.
3)I think that Macbeth is concerned whether they go to heaven or hell because it would probably make him feel better if the went to heaven, because he knows they they didn't deserve to die, and he knows that they should go to heaven as well. So it would probably make him feel better if he knew that they went to heaven

1. I feel insecure around people with authority because I have to respect their authority. I tend to speak less.
2. One reason could be that the murder of Banquo was not necessary. He knew he had to kill the king to become king, but Banquo had to respect his authority because he was king. Another reason could be that Banquo was his best friend.
3. He feels bad for them because they don't deserve to go to hell because they are good people.

I sometimes feel insecure when I am faced with the unknown because I don't know how the situation will play out and tend to keep to myself more. Also, when meeting new people I feel insecure because they seem to judge me based on the first impression I give them.
Macbeth is being haunted by Banquo instead of Duncan because he knows that he could have still achieved his goal of keeping the title of king without killing Banquo. It was an unneccessary act that Macbeth thought would ensure his title to the throne, but ends up getting the best of his concience. Also, Macbeth and Banquo were good friends and I think he realized after the murder that it was unneccessary and he is now faced with much guilt for killing Banquo.
Macbeth is concerned with whether or not Duncan and Banquo went to heaven or hell because he knows that none of this needed to happen, and he also uses it as an excuse to clear his concience of what he has done by saying that they are probably better off now than they were on Earth.

1)I normally feel really uncomfortable in situations that I have never been in before, and if I am in a situation where I am with people who I don’t know. I act really shy and quite, just because I don’t know what will happen or what the people will think of my real self.
2)I think that Macbeth is haunted by Banquo but not by Duncan because first, he really did not have as good of a reason for killing Banquo as he did the king. Banquo was not really in the way, but I think that Macbeth’s power was starting to overwhelm him for a little while. Also, I think he is haunted by Banquo because he kind of chose to kill him on the spur of the moment, and his conscious was catching up with him. When he killed the king, Macbeth had a while to feel guilty about the situation, but he really didn't with Banquo until after he killed him.
3)Macbeth think s that they should go to heaven because they were good people and really didn’t deserve what Macbeth brought upon them. Macbeth knows that they do not really belong in hell, and he is afraid that he may go there as well.

1. I tend to become insecure and wear a mask when I'm put into new situations with people I am not familiar with or when I am traveling to new places. During this past summer I visited Prague for the second summer in a row and because the people and the culture are so unfamiliar to me, I tend to hold back and not engage in conversation or try and leave the group of people I am with. I become very shy and tend to just close up when I am around strangers.
2. I think Macbeth is so haunted by Banquo as opposed to King Duncan because there was no necessary motive in killing him in the first place because Macbeth didn't gain anything from his death but also because Banquo was Macbeth's best friend and he betrayed him. I know that if I were to commit a crime on my best friend like Macbeth did that it would certainly haunt me.
3. I think Macbeth is concerned because he wants something good to come out of murdering both of these two even though neither deserved to be murdered. He thinks that if they go to heaven that he helped them slong to better life beyond the world even faster but if they went to hell I think he would feel even more guilty because he was condemning them to a life of horror faster.

1) Some things that make me feel insecure are when I meet new people or when I am around people that I don't really know. When I am around people I don't know I act shy and I am kind of quite. I am afraid of what the new people might think of me, and that is why I act shy, but once I get to know them my insecurities go away.
2)I think that Macbeth is haunted by the ghost of Banquo, because Banquo was Macbeth's best friend and he is feeling guilty that he just had his best friend murdered. Also I think that he is haunted because he didn't even need to kill Banquo, and he sent other people to kill him. He didn't need to kill Banquo because the witches told them that his sons would become kings, and Macbeth is realizing that he should have never killed his friend just so that he would stay king.
3)I think that Macbeth is so concerned with whether or not they will go to heaven or to hell, is because he is feeling guilty and wants them to go to heaven and not hell. Also I think that Macbeth might be concerned about himself at this point, because he has murdered one person himself and ordered the killing of another, so I think that he might be thinking of himself and hoping that he doesn't go to hell. With the monologue after the death of Banquo Macbeth says "It is concluded. Banquo, thy soul's flight, If it find heaven, must find it out tonight." I think that Macbeth feels guilty for killing his friend and he wants Banquo to find heaven and not hell.

!) I am NOT a shy person but sometimes I am shy and insecure when I am around new people or when I am in a new place with people I don't know. When I am insecure I usually try to do something that is familiar to me like talk or text my friends on my phone or I am a wall flower.
@) Maybe Macbeth felt worse about the death of Banquo than he did the death of Duncan. Also because Macbeth and Banquo were good friends and he turned on him for no good reason.
#)I think that he was concerned that the consequence would be worse for him if Duncan and Banquo went to hell instead of heaven. Also he knows that heaven is better than hell and he doesn't want them to suffer more than they already have being murdered and all.

1) I feel insecure when i meet new people and dont feel very good until they leave or i have gotten to know them. I am also insecure in spanish class.
2)I think Macbeth is haunted by banquo for one because they were best friends another reason he is haunted by Banquo and not Duncan because he was there when Duncan was murderd and mot when Banquo was.
3)Macbeth is concerned because because he is concerned about where he is going, and that if they go to heaven killing them was not a bad thing.

1) I usually feel insecure when I'm somewhere where I don't know anyone. I tend to be quiet and just watch what's going on.
2) I think that Macbeth is haunted by the ghost of Banquo and not Duncan for these reasons: Macbeth's mental state is much worse when he kills Banquo. Also, there was very little reason to kill Banquo. When he kills Duncan, it was mostly his wife's idea, when he kills Banquo, it was entirely his idea.
3) Macbeth is not very concerned with whether they go to heaven or hell, but more concerned with the fact that he gets what he wants when he kills them. Also, he must be concerned that Banquo refuses to stay dead after Macbeth kills him.
